This is a CD Kit Assy used by astronauts for personal entertainment during missions. This CD Kit is NASA Class I flight hardware and was probably flown, although there is no flight history.
This Kit contains a no components. The Nomex case NASA part #SED33104183-305 s/n 1004 is labeled on the outside of this tri-fold with velcro closure and six pockets. The pockets are for CD player, earphones, and batteries x3, not included. The case measures 12" x 18" when opened and 8 x 12 when closed. This CD Kit bears an inside label with a different Parts ID # SED33104084-303 SN 5031.
Kit is in good condition with scuffs and stains throughout. Included is a NASA storage poly bag the kit is sealed in. CD Kit was purchased as NASA surplus.
