This is a “small” Space Shuttle Program Stowage Tray NASA part # ME192-0070-0001. These blue trays were typically used for stowing clothing, hardware, and food for use during missions. Two of these small (or one large) Stowage Tray were designed to fit in a full size Middeck Locker. It weighs about 2.4 lbs. and holds about .85 cubic feet of stowage.
Included, is a photocopy of a NASA drawing referencing the tray dimensions. It can’t be determined if this tray was ever flown and is presumed unflown. A cloth handle often used as a “pull” is not attached. Photos can be seen showing similar trays (not this one) in use on the Space Shuttle.
Purchased as NASA Surplus. Tray is contained in the original pink NASA storage bag.
Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
